Describe the bug

I just published an (>9500 words) article on my writefreely (0.12) instance and noted that the content is cropped without notice.

The blog post is here: https://beyermatthias.de/butido-a-linux-package-building-tool-in-rust

There are approx. 120 lines dropped from the article.

Steps to reproduce (if necessary)

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. host writefreely 0.12
  2. Post >9000 words
  3. see that things are missing

Application configuration

  • Single mode
  • sqlite
  • Open registration? no
  • Federation enabled? yes

Version or last commit:
0.12

Thanks for reporting this, @matthiasbeyer. I'm not completely sure what would cause this, as SQLite shouldn't have any character limits on TEXT fields. But we can investigate and improve the UX here. There's an old task to track this too: T408.
