Describe the bug

I ran into a little markdown rendering bug today. Here it is in action:

It's not high priority as there is an easy workaround (The workaround is to use * to italicize instead)

This is an old issue tracked in russross/blackfriday#278 -- but we should be able to fix this.

You may want to investigate if https://github.com/gomarkdown/markdown didn't fix the issue. It seems to be a bit more proactively developed than blackfriday at this point...

Hi there. the same issue happens when u have a link inside an blockquote element.

quick fix for this is to use a reference link. create your link as a reference:

text ... [here is something nice][nice] ... text

[nice]: https://example.com/hello_world
