Thanks -- that was my overall thought on this. In general, we only like to raise the Go version when needed for a particular reason. |

Golang 1.13 (current version) came out over a year ago. Maybe it'd be good to bump to the latest version? I found this update golang repo useful in bumping my local golang to the lastest version if friction of having to update golang is a concern.
